Kate Middleton has been delivering beauty look after beauty look recently – and we're talking about her supremely regal hairstyles in particular. From her signature blowdry 2.0 to ultra-sleek ponytails and glass hair, Princess Kate is constantly offering up fresh, on trend takes that immediately elevate a look.
In fact, one of our favourite recent hairstyles saw the royal matching with daughter Princess Charlotte. At the royal family's annual Christmas church service, the pair were seen wearing a similar style – with subtle differences.
Both hairstyles see braids from front to back, with Kate's new face-framing pieces and all of the top half of her hair twisted into plaits and pinned beneath her very chic hat.
Kate's half-up look was teamed with the rest of her hair left long and straight, showing off a sparkling pair of sapphire and diamond earrings.
As for Princess Charlotte, she wore her hair in a similar style – with her braids secured behind her head with a sweet velvet ribbon.
Fancy recreating Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte's plaited look (even sans fascinator)?
It's actually pretty simple. Section the top half of your hair, splitting in half on each side of your parting. Braid each section backwards (a simple plait or twist is fine, or you could try French plaiting) and secure at the crown of your head. You can use a simple elastic, ribbon or even pin it into a twisted bun. Royal-approved.
