Redeem now Alexa Flutie, the daughter of former NFL quarterback Doug Flutie, made the New England Patriots cheerleading squad this year.
She tried out each of the last four seasons, but didn't make the team until this summer.
Alexa graduated from Dean College with a B.A. in dance in 2010, and is now going into professional dancing.
She told The Fan 590 in Toronto that her dad is behind her, but she doesn't want any preferential treatment:
"Whenever I do something, especially going through auditions I like to be known as myself and not have the notoriety of my dad."
