A former Vanderbilt football player awaiting a retrial in a notorious college rape case has pleaded guilty to a violent confrontation with a security guard at his younger brother’s school. Brandon Vandenburg, 22, was sentenced to two years of unsupervised probation after admitting to a misdemeanour charge of using offensive words in a public space.
